Heading to MGM today to really get into it. Now that we understand how our pass works, we are ready to hit it hard. Got good night sleep and breakfast at Mara at AKL and an am nap. Older DD and I swam a little this am before leaving. Got to MGM and walked around looking at shops and girls are now into the pin trading with the cast members.

Let me back up a little, older DD has made friends with the cast members in the gift shop at AKL. Every chance she gets she stops in to say hi and look at their lanyards and at the book in the shop for trading. She is going Stitch crazy. The cast members explained how the trading works and how certain pins are harder to get and some are part of collections so everytime the girls see them, they look them over and tell them how they are doing and if they have picked up any really special ones. It has been really fun doing this. Before we leave the cast members are holding pins back for them and one cast member even gave my older DD a very nice pin. She was also into Tinkerbell. Younger DD was of course into the Princesses, especially Belle. By the time we leave DW, they both have thier lanyards full and mom is carrying some in her suitcase. If was a great experience and really helped DD8 work on talking to people and asking about pins and trading. One cast member at Epcot was really nice. He was out pushing a large wheeled trashbin and emptying the cans into it and, he took the time to talk with us about pins and Epcot and DW for about 25 minutes. He also had a pin that completed a set for my DD8 of the fairy godmothers. He said not alot of people stop him so he did have some good pins.

Now back to MGM. We see several characters around Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat and we get lots of autographs and pictures. I got mine with Jasim!!!
But the best was our picture with Baloo. It was with all 4 of us and Baloo has his hand on DW head, messing up her hair, it was very cute. It became our Christmas Card this year. We do the Great Movie Ride, Little Mermaid show, One Mans Dream, and head into the Millionaire show. We were taken in 1st and seated on the side that doesn't go up very high. We were in the 2nd row. It was a lot of fun and I was doing well for a while and then I choked and bombed out. They all enjoyed that. We then headed on to the Back lot tour. DD really thought it was gonna get them ! We of course took the obligatory picture in the gift shop of each of us holding one of the academy awards and thanking all the little people who made it possible. We then headed over for the Indiana Jones Show. We all loved this. The girls favorite was me! :p
I was chosen to go up on the stage for part of the stage!!! It was really fun and my girls thought it was the coolest that goofy dad was up there. Especially after the Hoop de Doo and my girlfriend there. That guy at the end it a big boy. I made freinds with the guy that has to fight with him because I liked his really loud hawaiian shirt. I think that's how they find him in the crowd. When you go, volunteer, it's fun and your family will enjoy it too.

We then headed on to ROCKIN' ROLLER COASTER!!! :smooth: DD's like coasters but DW is a big chicken, but she went with us on this and really liked it. When we came out and I said it was really smooth for a ride that inverted 3 times she said no it didn't and she wouldn't believe me. We did buy the picture in the postcards and a big one for the family room. She kept telling me I was making that up about going upside down so we took advantage of our pass, the only time and did the ride again as soon as we got out of the gift shop. I counted them for her this time and she loved it. We didn't do the Tower of Terror as too many strobe lights which can cause seizures and not sure what the dropping would do with DD so we passed. We missed Beauty and the Beast on Stage :sad2:

We have ressies at Hollywood & Vine at 4:20 with the Fantasmic package.
We got called in just as a huge rain storm dumped buckets and buckets of rain. People were glued to the windows looking in wishing they weren't getting soaked. Dinner was good, nothing fantastic but good. Better than our local Country Kitchen buffets. We head out and walk the shops again. DD11 meets a guy in the gold shop over on sunset blvd who does designs on watches for people. He notices her stich pins and asks if she likes stich, of course she says yes and then he asks her if she has an autograph book. He gets it and does this fantastic drawing of stich in it for her. It is one of her prize possesions from the trip. He was very nice and would let me give him anything for it. We head off for the Fanstasmic show. It has been raining a little bu there is alot of lightnening. The show finally starts about 20 minutes late. WOW. It is one of the most incredible shows I have ever seen. We all loved it and wished we would do it again. We sat in the front row off to the right. I really liked the seats and the girls had movement room while we waited. After show headed back to AKL, of course DD was asleep and I go the long carry to the room.
