We are planning on visiting SeaWorld and Aquatica from March 18-20, 2010. On March 18th we plan to visit SeaWorld for dinner (and maybe a show) in the evening. However, we are trying to decide whether we should do Aquatica or SeaWorld on the 19th and 20th. We were planning one full day at each for those two days (possibly Aquatica on the 19th and SeaWorld on the 20th since there are more shows on Saturday).

My only problem is, will SeaWorld be super crowded on those days? Is one day better than the other? For the day at Aquatica we don't really care about busyness because we just like the lazy river and wave pool and could care less about waiting in line for a water slide, and if it is too busy we can pop over to SeaWorld again instead. What do you think?

If the busyness doesn't matter to you...I would wait until you get a week out and then decide based on the weather forecast.

But, I would guess SW would be busier on a Saturday than Aquatica. Since Saturday is usually a travel day, most people would save the waterpark for the middle of their trip, not the first day. But that is my opinion only!

Have fun and good luck.

If I'm not mistaken, if you book the Luau dinner, and you show up just before dinner, you don't have to have a ticket, just be on the reservation list. But I'd definatly call and find out before hand.

The thing with sea world tickets, is you've got 2 day tickets, or 14 day tickets. Not really like disney... That way you only purchase a 1 day Sea World ticket, and use your second day free at Aquatica.

I would suggest going to Sea World on Friday, and Aquatica on Saturday.

Thanks for your responses. I think we will definitely watch the weather. We can also just pop over to SeaWorld if we decide not to stay at Aquatica on a given day anyhow (we have the 3-park 14-day ticket anyhow).

Speaking of the Luau, is it worth the extra money? We were thinking maybe just using our pass for that day as well and doing the Sharks Underwater Grill and maybe a show. I've heard that the Luau is very entertaining, what do you think, is it worth it?
