Trip Itinerary please review- opinions?

Maybe do the waterpark the day after MGM, if you do not go back the day at MGM and rest. THat way you could relax, sleep in and get reenergized for the rest of the trip.

We like to have a car for the week but last trip we only used it a couple of times. Previously we justified the cost by figuring it's not much more than the Mears shuttle, but even with Magical Express being without cost we've decided we'll still get a car since it's convenient to have when you need it.

Two places you can get discount coupons are in the Entertainment Book and BJ's Wholesale Club. There are lots of other ways, too.

We like to get a full size for our family of four which gives us plenty of room and holds our luggage adequately. We once got an intermediate size - it was raining/defroster full blast and the car was full, we could barely get out of our own way, LOL (never again)!

The last two trips we've rented through Alamo since they usually have excellent prices with discounts (good on hidden costs too with things like extra driver free with coupon, etc...). The problem we've found with them is that the lines at the rental counter are ridiculously long. We once waited over an hour in the line; people were calling the other counters from their cell phones but at that point other agencies prices were too high. I don't think we'll use them again unless we arrived very, very early or late (not anytime during the day).

I've heard good things about L&M on the boards, never any lines that I've seen. Base prices are good, I don't know about discounts through them. The day we had the hour wait I visited all the other counters while DH waited in line and IMO they were the nicest people I encountered that day. So :confused3 ...

Tell us more about the deal for $118... Also I have an Entertainment Book if you want any coupons just let me know. BJ's are pretty much the same if you're a member.

The 118.00 deal was from Budget. It was higher after taxes and such. I think it was as high as 160. I also saw a deal from enterprise fro about $10 less.

Pean-n-me - I am a BJ's club member. Can you send a link to that deal. I am getting very curious about renting a car. Thanks.

I was just looking at my schedule and we actually have two non-park days and 6 park days. We are flying red-eye from California from Friday night so, I didn't plan on going anywhere on Saturday except the pool at our resort. We'll probably eat at Beaches & Cream. And, wait for our groceries from WeGoShop. We are staying in a 2 bedroom condo.

Then, on Wednesday we are planning a non-park day too to see downtown disney, hang at the pool & do the Hoop De Doo Dinner.

I guess, my point is that you can't possibly see everything in one trip. Hopefully, you can plan many more return trips.

Tina

That is so funny. I see we have the dame day scheduled for CRT and the same day for HDDR. What time is your CRT? What time is your HDDR? My wife and I agree to leave Wednesday ope as well. If we feel up tp AK we will go, if not, we will hang out and take it easy. Thanks for all the advice.

you certainly have your vacation planned. Remenber its a vacation, go with the flow enjoy yourselves.

I don't know about a link. Just go into BJ's - by the front desk there are car rental flyers with the coupons in them. Good luck.

Hi -- your itinerary looks good to me. My husband and I are going in May and we're doing Epcot on our first full day while we're still fresh! The last time I went to WDW with DS, we drove down and parked the car in the lot at our resort. It never moved the whole week -- I never even had the urge to drive it! I figured I'm on vacation .... let someone else fight with the traffic! Of course, if I'd been waiting for buses/monorails with 2 8 year olds, I might have felt differently! :)

Wow. We are going to WDW in July for 7 days. I am having a hard time making up our Itenerary. Can you please tell me what Tour Guide Mike is. I am in need of some planning help. I need to get our schedule set so that I can my PS reservations starting next week. If makes it difficult to plan when Disney does not have any park hours and extra hours listed for July yet.

So tell me where I can get help in making our schedule for each day. PLEASE

Thanks
Donna

Here is tourguidemike's web site:

http://www.tourguidemike.com/

I believe, there is another site out there that gives you actual tour schedules. I like tourguidemike. This is the first time I've ever used him so, I don't know if everything he says works. But if you don't want to spend the money, you can look at old schedules on the DIS site for park hours here:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm

Look about midway down the page and you can input your days that you are going to be there in July. Then, you'll get a projected hours based on last year. In the summer, MK is opened late hours. Also, this page has the current EMH that you can look at and mostly like it will be the same. I did notice for our trip they did not change the EMH schedule other than adding EMH for morning and evening in the same park.

Tourguide Mike doesn't plan your schedule but it does help you decide which parks to visit on which days. So, you plan around the park schedule & parade schedules & nightly shows and then, you can make your priority seatings based on which days you go to the parks. Also, his site is very time consuming to read basically like reading a book, so if you use his site make sure you have a enough time to read everything before making your PS reservations. GL...
Hope that Helps...

I really like the Unofficial Guide, it's a book that you can purchase at any major bookstore. Heck your library may have it. It covers almost everything about Disney. I am a bit obsessive so you don't have to buy everything I did. I would say the best purchase I made has been the "UG'. It will definitely help.

Good luck
