We're looking at going in September of October of next year. (Our DS will be 6 then.) We are in Texas, so are looking at a 22-hour drive. We also want to do Legoland and Universal Studios.
(I'm the one that asked the idiotic question about Carlsbad Caverns being California--anyway, now I know, and we might try to go there on the way.)
Anyway, would it be best to do Legoland first, (as my research shows it's about 1 hr prior to arriving at DL), and then do Universal the next day, and then finish our trip off with 2 or 3 days at DL? Or, should we reverse it, and start off with DL and end with Legoland on our way back?
Also, it's been 10 years since we've been to DL, and I know it's about 45 min to get to Universal. Would it be better to have a hotel near there or stay at DLH for that night (which is where I'm hoping to stay)?
Any other advice you can give me would be appreciated!
