I'm in.
Hi everybody! Thanks for joining in and for all the encouragement.
I'd like to say "a new installment is coming right up!". In fact, maybe I will....
A new installment is coming right up!
Did you buy that?
Me neither. But my heart was in it.![]()
Okay, okay, I AM working on it. Hang in there!

What were you doing looking at my butt?!?!?!?

And so we chose dinner at Kona Café, followed by Lapu Lapus at Tambu, to host our August meet. Wed even invite others to join us on the beach that evening for more Lapu goodness!

Can you blame them, really? If my familyd known about my plans, surely theyd have wanted in, too. Well, one of them anyway.
Mmmm, hmmm. SSR was the only WDW resort in which Id never set foot. Id seen pictures and maps, and I liked the longer contract coupled with less-costly annual dues than other DVC resorts, but I had no idea if Id find anything desirable about the resort itself.
Oh yes, V, thanks for doing the whole "In the beginning....." installment.I'm glad you are posting how this all came together. I think you all had it planned before I started being a "regular" with all of you. And very interesting about the SSR purchase sight unseen....![]()
Excellent work fellow Lapupalooza mate!I was going to launch into the Introductions, but looking back… ahead… whatever, I feel the need to give a bit more background. So you can share in the joy and drama that is pre-trip planning.![]()
I'd completely forgotton how the destination was finalized.Back in Dec., our little meet took place over Lapu Lapus at the Poly’s Tambu lounge. The Lapu Lapu is a beauty of a drink, served up all festooned and pretty in a pineapple… what spells RELAXATION and VACATION more than a fruity pineapple drink sipped whilst one lounges in a tropical resort? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And so we chose dinner at Kona Café, followed by Lapu Lapus at Tambu, to host our August meet. We’d even invite others to join us on the beach that evening for more Lapu goodness!

And the poor Kona Manager.....Feeling badly for the nice CM’s at the poly? You should be.![]()
Finally a nice big slice of blame cake for LL.Only, the Girls’ Weekend was not to be. It seems someone’s family thought unkindly about someone taking off for The World without them. Can you blame them, really? If my family’d known about my plans, surely they’d have wanted in, too. Well, one of them anyway.
LY LL! Another slice, LL?It was also during our mad planning of Lapupalooza that I took the plunge and bought into DVC. I blame that one squarely on LL. I was unable to resist the pull to buy, induced, magically it seemed, by her written reflections and pictorial documentation of her family’s glorious stay at SSR. I had to buy-in or die trying.
You know I keep blaming her as well in regards to the whole DVC thing. But Andy, LL says its great.... LL says once we stay in 2 bedroom it'll be done......LL says they sell themselves.....
For the record, I love Gramma! 'Course I don't have to live with Gramma. Then I remembered something. If I brought my DS, I’d also have to bring someone to stay with him while we ladies lived it up. That meant only one thing.
Gramma was coming.
Just sayin'.
I organized myself into a tizzy this week let me tell you....
So tonight while DH and Sarah are camping and canoeing (I kid you not) and the little ones are here with me watching the new "Enchanted Tales"...I am catching up!
I am really looking forward to hearing all about your SSR... of course its going to be a great place...its Disney of course...sight-unseen is fine !!!...

If I could buy DVC that would be my home resort too.
