When do you normally purchase it? I am thinking about 75 days out--whne the time comes that I can not cancel without losing my money. Is that how most do it?
Also, what expenses besides air and cruise cost do you include in the price of the trip? Those are the only things I can think of!
Thanks in advance!!

You can buy it at any time, really. Most policies aren't in effect until the time when cancellation would cost you money. As far as pricing the trip, air and cruise are the big-ticket items. Other incidentals aren't likely to change the price very much, if at all. One exception might be if you're spending a night in a hotel on land prior to or after your cruise. Basically, if you calculate how much you'd lose if you cancelled the night before or the morning of the cruise, this would essentially be the cost you'd want to insure against.

Be sure to read the fine print regarding the policy you intend to buy-there are usually limitations regarding preexisting medical conditions.
