Have you used it...and do you recommend it? Is the coverage really good? I know we got it on our last non-DVC trip and the CM told me that if I dropped my cell phone on a boat ride it was covered or if my daughter broke a limb (lol) at the gymnastics meet she was covered...just wondering if anyone else had it, used it or recommended it.

I've not used trip insurance for a Disney vacation, but last year I bought travel insurance for an Alaskan cruise and unfortuantely, I had to use it when my wife developed blood clots and couldn't travel. I recovered all of my expenses except for about $50.

I have not used it for a normal WDW vacation, but we had trip insurance for our honeymoon (DCL & several nights at WDW). It paid for itself, as I got some stomach illness from Cape May that incapacitated me for a day. We used the insurance to have a doctor make a house call to the Swan. Trip insurance is pretty inexpensive, and it pays for a lot of things. If you are on the fence, I advise buying it due to the low cost.

We have never bought the trip insurance before but now that we are getting older it might not be a bad idea. I wonder if it would have paid for my daughter's perscription glasses that ended up at the bottom of Splash Mountain somewhere
