Trip Insurance--worth it or not?

The title says it all. What do you think? It's $100. We wouldn't cancel our trip if anything came up, just move dates. And we are driving, not flying. Thoughts?

I think it depends on your situation. When we went I bought it. My MIL was not doing well at the time. We had non-refundable plane tickets and cirque tickets. I bought the insurance thru AIG Travel Guard. From what I remember it also covered trip interruption -if something happened while we were there and we had to cut our trip short.

I agree with this. It all depends on your situation. We usually travel with my parents and my dad has a lot of health issues. We always get travel insurance "just in case".

We always get it. I'd much rather lose $100 then lose $2,500.00! It's a no brainer for us. :thumbsup2

That's how I see it. With the Family Care Comprehensive plan through Access America, it costs a whopping $79 for DS and I both (kids are free on that plan.) It would cost me $200 to cancel the WDW package inside of 46 days, and a whole lot can happen in 46 days. $79 is pretty cheap peace-of-mind for me! :goodvibes

We too always get the insurance. With little ones and the grandparents, you never know what may come up.

We only get it on trips when we are leaving the United States. It has been worth it. We've only used it one time. My dad had a stroke and a heart attack in Cocoa Beach the night before we were leaving on a cruise!
