I went to the insure my trip website and plugged in my data and a MILLION options popped up. Way too many for my little brain to process..... How do you know which of the companies listed is reliable? Each offer is slightly different... price, coverage.....

How do you sort thru it all???

Look for a company that has an AM Best Rating in the "A"'s!! They are finacially solid companies.

Frankly, I looked at the lesser expensive quotes and then checkmarked them and compared. I ended up getting insurance with Travelex. The coverage was plenty without going over the top. I just wanted some extra medical and trip delay insurance since we are traveling in Sept. just in case any storms are headed that way this year. I think it was the cheapest quote I got, but the company had an A rating so, why spend more. I had also searched this board for insurance threads, and several others seemed to have used this same company. I think I ended up paying $79 for the 5 of us for the 7 day cruise (I think kids are free with them). I figure if for some reason we need it, $79 will be a bargain. Just as a side, I also went directly to Travelex's website and it would have cost me like $40 more to go directly thru them, so I went thru insuremytrip.com directly.

I figured it out... I never select compare... duh.... I am an idiot these days...

You can go to www.insuremytrip.com and compare policies and prices there for different insurance companies. The above poster used Travelex which is a popular one from what I've read. We also used Travelex and I've found them to be wonderful so far. I have a claim in process right now and they have been wonderful to deal with.

We had great luck with www.accessamerica.com. We purchased the least expensive option from them and it pulled us through nicely with our claim during last years hurricane season. I highly recommend them!
