We are planning a trip to Hawaii next summer on frequent flyer miles with Delta. There are a couple of condos that I am very interested in with a "paid in full" prior to the trip requirement. Since Delta has filed Chapter 11, I thought that trip insurance to insure the condo part of the trip might be a good idea. I called Trip Insured, whom I have used in the past and they will not insure any vacation that is due to airline flight cancellation of airlines that have filed Chapter 11. That includes United, USAir, Northwest and Delta. Does anyone know if this is universal through out the travel insurance industry?
