Hi everyone! :wave2: I'm fairly new here and our trip is planned for Nov. 4th - 10th. just wondering about weather there around that time...i'm what you would like to call an "overpacker" so im sure i'll pack everything for every kind of weather condition, but i would like to keep my load light cuz it's my first trip back to disney in like 12 years. thanks for any tips or anything.

And anything anyone knows about Pop would be great too. I've been reading a lot about it...doesn't seem too bad. It's just me and my DBF going this time(my little one isn't going yet :guilty: )

but anyways thanks for any help guys...LOVE THE DIS already :)

I've been to WDW several times at that time of the year. The weather is very unreliable. I've been there where it's been in the 90's, and then I've been there where it barely reaches 70. It gets pretty chilly at night. I wear capris (don't like shorts), and am always comfortable (weather wise) in those. I usually wear short sleeves, not tank tops, and am comfortable. You will definitely need a jacket at night.

I was at the Pop in February of this year. It's really nice. The rooms are okay for 2 people. I wouldn't want many more in the room though. The food court is very nice - large variety of food. The bus transportation was very good also.

We have been to Disney at this time twice. It's actually referred to as Jersey week because the New Jersey schools are closed the thurs. & fri. for the teacher convention every year. We had nice weather both times we went. The weather was low 70's to mid 80's during the day. Nice weather for touring the parks, yet still warm enough for a swim. It would have been nice if they turned up the heat a little in the pool, if it was even on. Although the kid's did'nt seem to mind it. On cooler mornings I wore capris with a t-shirt and denimn shirt and then took off the denimn shirt as it warmed up. Sometimes the nights and early morning are a bit cool. It would'nt hurt to have a pair of pants and long sleeves, and a light jacket or sweatshirt with you. If you're trying to pack light you can do a load of laundry by the pool in case you run out of something. We have stayed at the Pop twice and love it. It's a fun place, clean, friendly nice pools a good food court, my DS loves the game room and I like the gift shop. If the hippy dippy pool gets to busy try one of the other pools, we loved the bowling pin pool in the 50's section. You'll have a great time!! and you'll probably meet some people for Jersey! LINDA

i know the food & wine fest is going on at this time too...anyone ever been to that?? i'm kinda looking forward to it because i've heard good things about that too.

and thanks for the tips...im not too big on shorts anyways...my legs are way too white LOL so that seems like a good time to go for capri wearing...thanks again guys

We'll be staying at the POP from November 4-12. Hopefully, it will be WARM. We originally planned the first week of December but switched hoping for warmer weather -- we went in December 2 years ago and it got COLD while we were there.

I haven't stayed at the POP yet but my dd22 and her friend did last time (they extended our off-site stay after we left). She really liked it. Their room was in the 60's preferred right by the pool and said it was great having a room that close to everything.

DH and I stayed at POP on our Honeymoon and LOVED IT!!!! We are staying there again for our trip in September! POP has it's own bus so that's awesome...we stayed at ASMu for a couple days on our trip this month and sharing buses with the other AS resorts sucked!!!!

POR shared with POFQ, but that's only one stop for POFQ..not bad....

POP is awesome!

yeah i was kinda weary about the whole POP thing, but now i see that more and more people like it and for the price, how could you go wrong...i mean you're staying right on disney property and we probably wont even be in the room that much anyways...thanks again guys

I've done Jersey Week, at Pop, just last year. And I'm from Jersey to boot. I packed jeans, but never got to wear them. I found it shorts weather all the time. A sweatshirt at night is a good idea though. The crowds weren't bad at all, EXCEPT Epcot. This was a bummer as I love Epcot. Trying to march little ones throught the World Showcase, especially with the wine flowing, was too much of a task and not enjoyable. Rumor had it that one of the Soarin screens was down so that made most of Epcot a bummer too. But the other parks were great and so was Pop. We've been there more than once and have never been disappointed (except with the coffee, if that's what it even is).
