So now with Fantasmic happening nearly night in September and the crowd level rising slightly for the day we're in Hollywood Studios DH said "what it's going to cost us another hour in line...." So being a little quiet (bored) at work today I decided to work out what the real cost is. Here goes.

Sydney airport to Sydney Airport.
10 days = 240 hours
Costs = $6550 (ex real shopping....)
Cost per hour = $27.30 per hour

So Fantasmic is costing us roughly $27.30.

Which is cheaper than our trip to the Gold Coast last January


Airfare / Accom at POFQ / Deluxe Dining $5000, round figures
Trip insurance - $550 - special cover for DH.
Passports, aready have.
Planned spending like a couple of cab fares, tips, day trip to Kennedy etc $1000.

That is great - is it two people? Our quote for a stay at POR for 7 nights is sitting at $3200.

It's for 2A and 1C during free dining, in the complete off season. We upgraded DD to be a 10 year old for dining. It would be almost $1000 more, but I used some points towards our flights so it's probably not 100% accurate.

This is interesting to work out so i did a rough calculation on $30 000
40 days + 6 hours = 966 hours = $31.05 per hour / 6 people = $5.17 per hour each lol
It would be nice to take the flights out of this $197.34 per hour for 46 hours of flights

Now we can start a competition for most expensive least expensive trip per hour

assuming i have not forgotten anything in our final calculations i thought i would work it out on our actual trip cost

$34976.67 / 966 hours = $36.20 per hour / 6 people $6.03 per person per hour
Daily cost is $874.41 the hourly cost sounds much better
