First off, I apologize in advance if this is not the proper place for this thread. I have two questions...

1. What is the soonest you can book your trip? For example, my girlfriend and I are planning to visit in late October. When can we book?

2. Say I book my trip 10 months in advance. How soon before the total balance is required to be paid?

Thanks for your time!

1- Typically you can start booking for the next year around early August at a non-sale price. So if you are planning for Oct 2016, you could do it now. Promos will likely be releases early 2016 for that time period. When/if they offer something, you'll need to call & ask them to apply it to your reservation.

2- Regardless of when you book it, packages are due to be paid in full 45 days before arrival with a $200 deposit. I never do room only so I don't remember when those are due.

Have fun! :dumbo:

Room only reservations fees are due the day of arrival at check-in. Packages are due 45 days ahead of time.

Actually, Disney made several changes to the 2016 Magic Your Way Packages, one being that full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival now...used to be 45.

I read this too. And I believe the new 30 day rule only applies to new bookings. Not bookings made prior to the change.

The changes to the packages were announced directly before 2016 Magic Your Way packages became available on June 22, 2015. No one would have a 2016 package booked prior to the date they became available. Right? Or am I missing something? Regardless, OP asked as to when they could book so I assumed they had not yet. OP, 30 day out due date will apply to your package. As PP stated, room only balance is due upon check-in.

Thanks alot guys! Appreciate all the replies! One final question. Is their a percentage due when booking a package or a flat amount like $200?

Just $200 for package bookings. For room-only reservation, you owe one night's room cost when booking, then balance due at check-in. You can call Disney by phone and make payments for room-only, if you wish to. For package bookings, you can make payments online or phone.
