Can someone tell me what kind of crowds we should expect? Birnbahms and AllEarsnet says "average attendance" during this time frame. We are taking the kids out of school for this trip and want to get the most out of our time. Will we have to use the FastPass for a lot of things. My DH and I went in late Feb nine years ago and never had to wait in ANY lines. He is not a very patient "Line Waiter" and he doesn't believe in walking around just to get passes to "go back later". Any advice you can give on the crowds, I would appreciate.

Also, read a lot about TourGuideMike. How do I find his information?

Thanks for your help.

In 2004 & 2005, we went the same week you are asking about.

The crowds were manageable...much better than during school vacations.
Haunted Mansion never even opened its FastPass machines the whole week because the CM said they weren't needed.

The temps. in the mornings can still be chilly. Last May, we stayed in the MK one night for EMH...but we had to leave by 10 p.m.... & it was just to cold for DS7, we had to head back to the hotel.

We always pull DD11 & DS7 out of school to go then.
This year, we are planning on the 2nd or 3rd week of May, as it works out better for our schedules.

You will really like that time of year.

We'll be there at the same time as you (4/29-5/7) and we also went at that time in 2004. The crowds were definitely manageable, though we did use Fast Pass for the more popular rides.

We were there in 2004 during the same time period as you. Magic Kingdom was the most crowded of the four parks, but the crowds were definitely managable. Most of the older rides had very short waits, some didn't even open their fast pass lanes. I also noticed that sometimes you could get a fast pass, but why when the regular wait was only 10 minutes??? The newer attractions had the longer lines, but the newer attractions also had things to do to occupy your time while waiting...lots of things to read or screens to watch. May is my favorite time of year to go weather-wise too. I don't think Florida gets too much rainfall that time of year...even the 4pm thudershower doesn't happen that often! Now, that being said when we go in May this year.......
