My husband and I will be going to Disneyworld in December. Neither of us have been since we were little. How long would you recommend our stay be to give us enough time to see all the parks, Christmas decorations and not feel rushed?

Thanks!

At least 7 nights...and even then we don't feel that's enough...we are doing 10 nights on our next trip...we'll see if that's better! :thumbsup2

We just did 9 nights and thought that was the perfect amount of time.

We've done trips that range from 4-13 nights. I think 10 nights has been my favorite so far. It gives you enough time to take a day off from parks if you want to spend time enjoying your resort, and enough time to hit the parks on multiple days. I like knowing that we have at least two days available for each park, so if there are attractions we don't get to the first day, we won't miss out on them. It makes me a much more relaxed person, and when I'm more relaxed, things are generally better for my entire family:).

Nine nights and ten days is the absolute least amount of time we can visit all the parks and resorts and not feel rushed. Anything less than that, and we have to leave something out or rush.

Lately, we have been staying for 14 nights and 15 days. That way, we have lots of time to enjoy the pools and relax, too. I always find myself wishing for three weeks, though.

And if money is ever plentiful, I would stay all summer.

This is what I am thinking. We did 10 one time and I think that was the best. Now to talk dh into for our family trip next year. He is set on 6 days in park. :sad1: lol Now, this is with kids. Without kids, i think 5 to 6 days would be pretty good.

It depends a lot on whether you see yourself as someone who likes to repeat the attractions that you enjoy a lot. Also it depends on whether you are going early in December when the crowds are lighter or closer to Christmas when they are a nightmare. Also do you plan on visiting the water parks or shopping and DTD.

I would say a minimum of 6 days, 1 for each park with a second trip to MK and either DHS or Epcot depending on what you prefer.

we go for 5 or 6 nights, makes a big differnce when its justs you and your hubby. We dont ever feel rush and take time just and sit at the train station and people watch.. It gives u plenty of time to ride things more than once. We spend most of our time at mk, but hit each park at least once and take advantage of the extra magic hours. we fly in early and leave late.

It also depends on when you are going...I've been there the first weeks of December and I would say a minimum of 10 days and a rental car. You need multiple days in each park if you want to do most everything, plus a day or two to tour the resorts and DTD. Don't forget MVMCP, Osbourne Lights, and Candlelight Processional.

We usually do 5 nights, but we try to fly in as early as possible the first day and fly out as late as possible on our last day! Our trips have also been adult-only trips during lower crowd times. We don't feel rushed at all.

So much to see.. so much to do! Since you guys haven't been since you guys were little, there's so many things have changed and added. I would say 10 days. 2 days at Epcot, 2 days at MK, 2 days at DHS, and a day at AK. I'm not sure when you're going but if it's during the summer, you might want to do a waterpark, either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. And you guys can take a resort break in between those parks so you guys are not overwhelmed and don't get stressed out if you guys do the parks everyday. :)

We are doing 7 nights/8 days and I don't know if that will be enough mom has not been there is decades. She has to get back to work and had to leave a buffer day at the end of the trip in case of flight delays etc.. We are really going to be seeing as much as possible but every group's strategy is different!

We are DVC owners and go frequently. We are all adults We do 7 nights/8 days flying in of first flight of the day and out the last flight in the evening.
I do not think that is enough time to see and do everything at a relaxed pace. We really only focus on the 4 main theme parks and don't do Water Parks, DTD, or any of the available recreational activities. We do usually swim at our resort pool some afternoons.
I think 10 nights would be better.

When in December? The first week and the weeks of Christmas/New Years are very different animals.;)

The first week of December I would say two adults could have a really great time and hit a lot of Disney's high points with 5-7 days depending on budget. No way will you see everything, don't even try, it will zap the fun right out of the trip if you try to do too much.

We stay 8-10 nights and always leave feeling like "we have to get back soon because we missed so much" :goodvibes

If you're visiting around the Christmas Holiday take it easy and have maybe 3-4 must do/see things. Then just go with the flow, make sure you know estimated crowd levels for each park so you can make daily choices about where to go. I would want a minimum of 7 days at Christmas time.

We have been anywhere from 6-10 nights and for us, 7-8 nights is perfect. As a pp mentioned, a lot has changed/been added since your last visit. But IMO, whether you go for 5 nights or 10, you still won't be able to see/do everything as there is so much going on that there will be things you will miss or not have time to get to. December is an awesome time to go as all of the resorts and parks are decorated and it's nice being there taking in all of the holiday festivities. If your schedule only allows 5 or 6 nights, you will still have an awesome time and see plenty in that amount of time. Good luck and have fun planning :goodvibes.
