Tried DownTown Disney Rainforest Cafe.

Just a quick review. We have always had a great meal at Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom but didn't have the same results at DownTown Disney. I had an ADR for 8:15. Checked in early - once we figured out the correct line to stand in! Waited and waited. Noticed that the area was pretty cleared out and went to the "elephant" to check. They told us we would be seated next. Well another 1/2 hour and many more names called I went back to the Elephant and they said to just go down to the fish tank. We waited in the second line and then were told they must have lost our reservation. By this point we had waited over an hour and were tired and hungry! They did seat us at the bar area but really I won't be back. I talked with the manager and told her our story. Again we waited after our dinner to speak with her. She took quite some time to get to our table. I didn't ask for anything or expect anything but was so disappointed in the whole experience. As I told her there are many fun and good restaurants in the Disney area and I will not be back to Rainforest at DD. It was so not worth the wait. You may have a better experience - I hope that you do - but I just don't think it was worth it!

Too bad about your experience. You should not have had to wait so long to be seated with an ADR. Especially considering you had a fairly late one.

And what was wrong with that manager? When I take the time to ask to speak to a manager regarding my less than stellar experience I do expect something to be done. By not doing anything that manager has guaranteed you won't be back. If they make some kind of offer then I may take a chance on returning and hope it was just an isolated incident. If they don't, I don't return.

I have no idea why the manager took forever to come to our table. The waitress had to ask her twice to come over. We had already paid for our dinner and I had no expectation of getting something from her but did want to inform her of what had happened. Really if she had come right over and just apologized I would have moved on and and chalked it up to every restaurant can have an off night. I would not have posted this warning and may have tried eating there again. Because she had to be asked twice and then gave me some long song and dance about them being busy bla bla bla, I left knowing I would never be back. I will go to the one at Animal Kingdom again. Much different experience there!

we went there on our honeymoon and ordered cheese sticks, they came out still frozen in the middle! I have been to 4 different rainforest cafes and they rest are awesome! this one not so much! too bad to cause its in such a great location!
