What are my chances of getting into TRex without an ADR for dinner?

I tried for a dinner reservation in October and couldn't get it for our stay. I got a 3PM but that was the earliest I found. I didn't check for after 8pm though. If I were you, I'd try to make one.....but I have read they do seat the walk-ups too...you may just have to wait a while.

It is not on the dining plan. It is, however, relatively easy to get into. They do release some of their ADR's to the Disney Dining line, but you can also make reservations calling the restaurant directly (they have more reservations available at the restaurant level from what I've read)

I've never heard of more than an hour wait, at the busiest times for dining. Usually the wait seems to be pretty minimal there.

So if I call directly they may have some availability? Right now there is nothing showing for dinner on the night I want to go on the Disney site.

Yes, call the restaurant directly. They only release a small amount of their reservations to be booked through Disney.

Does anyone have their number...I've been trying online for the past few weeks to book an ADR there through Disney but they're all taken!

I'd love to call!

We are eating there August 15th, and when I called 90 days prior, WDWDINE told me that they don't book ANY of the reservations for TRex, and I had to call the restaurant. Of course we know that the CM's give conflicting info, but I think calling directly would be your best bet.

Call the restaurant directly! I tried to make my ressie at 90 days out and Disney said they hadn't released the tables to them yet. So I called at around 60 days. I thought it wouldn't be busy since I am going for free dining and this is an out-of-pocket meal. Disney had nothing- on the phone or online. I called t-rex directly and I could get any time I wanted. Lesson learned.

Definitely call. I tried for 7 October and all I could get was 9:40pm. I tried them directly and had my choice of times. I took 6pm.

at 6:00 PM on a Monday in late June. We had a reservation which put us ahead of about eight people. When we left there was a much longer line.

The wait was about a total of 45 minutes -Not bad at dinnertime in Downtown Disney (you would wait at least that at any of the other places if you can't make a reservation.) We had a great waiter and the food was good so the wait was worth it.

This was true awhile back but changed not long ago. As of last month, you CAN book T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe through Disney. However, these restaurants are not Disney restaurants, and they do not release all their available tables for booking through Disney. If you can't get a reservation for a Landry's restaurant through Disney, try calling directly.

When I called directly to make a ressie I was told you don't have to make a ressie, that 70 percent of their seating is walk-ups.

It is a very large restaurant. We went early for lunch at got there at opening. It took at least an hour or more for the restaurant to fill up. They have lots of seating and turn the tables over quickly. We have been twice and neither time had a reservation, in my opinion one is not necessary at T-Rex.

I think we're going to try T-Rex when we get off of our cruise on 10/3. It'll be a great way to spend some time at DTD before getting back on the plane to head home!!

Thank you all for the info (I had no idea I could call the restaurant directly and was about to give up, since the online reservation system was showing no availability).

:cool1:

I booked a table on 10/3 at 22.00, but that is the time I wanted to eat so I am happy.

I called them at 180 days out. Your chances would be good if your going at an off time. Did you try an call them directely ?
