We've had two main discussions on women's clothing & men's clothing. I'm bored, & I'm wondering what are the trends that you hate, and the ones you love?
Such as: Skinny jeans, flats, Ugg's, big sunglasses, shrugs, side swept bangs (i know that's not clothing), bling xD, baggy t-shirts, tight tees (on guys xD)

Just want some opinions.
& if people actually decide to post on this: try to keep violence to a minimum.

i think that when people buy the 200$ jeans that have holes in them its kind of sad. i could ruin a pair of jeans that would look so much better for like 30$!!!! :rotfl2:

Uggs were awful. Especially when people tucked their jeans in them. I also agree that $200 ripped jeans are ridicilous.

i also hate how people are getting these d&b purses and theyre paying a LOT of money for them. i personally think the purses are ugly and soo not worth the money!!!!

you are now my least favorite person ever.
JUST KIDDING!
i love them. i think they're adorable. i have one. & it only cost me 66$.
go to the outlets, so much cheaper. that is if you're talking about Dooney&Bourke. i have a fake Louis, but a real D&B

i love skinny jeans.
UGG's are terribly comfy- but not going out of style like nothing else
i love flats
& i'll destroy my own jeans thanks.

I have big sunglass, flats, side swept bangs, so I'm obviously a fan of those. :) I like tight shirts on guys if it suits them. I'm not too keen on uggs though.

lol so many different opinions!!!! but thats why they make so many different styles of clothes!! :angel:

i like both baggy & tight on guys. if they're skinny (as in bean pole) i like tight. if they're more athletic, then baggy.
big sunglasses, side swept bangs... love them.
and cardigans are love. i adore them.

i LOVE expensive purses
&& big sunglasses
&& uggs

i hate tight jeans on guys...ew.

&& ripped jeans = love.

i pretty much love ANYTHING expensive and "in" right now.

You know, I'm nearly 60 and I've been so many places and seen so many things, that nothing surprises me or disgusts me anymore except when poeple are being intentionally cruel to other people. If you don't like a style, wait a year and it will change. GUARANTEED. "And that's all I have to say about that." - Forrest Gump

(Good thread)

I love big sunglasses!
I love tucking my ugggs into my jeans or atleast i did when there was snow everywhere .
I only buy ripped up jeans when they are like 30 bucks
I have tried ripping my own and i stink at it.
Flats are mybest friends! I can not walk in high heels.
And its probably hard to believe that i am really not that preppy.

I'm a fan of sarcastic tshirts. I like loose jeans on guys but not so loose they're fallign off. I like leather belts. I like most colors on most people. I'm not too much of a fan of pink on guys. expensive purses are fine, but I'm not going to pay for them. I like the layered look. Bermuda shorts rock. I like black. I like long skirts and skirts that hit the knee. I don't like shorts that are really short. Capris are the bane of my existance. I think that a guy will never look better (to me at least) when hes wearing a long sleeve button down dress shirt and a nice pair of jeans. flip flops on guys are just weird. but I love them on girls. swept bangs are okay, just not on me. I like curly hair on girls, but straight on guys. I love long hair. I like hats but not on me. I love color. Even more so if you're wearing all black. Most of my clothes are black, so I have lots of multi colored necklaces and earrings. Jeans and a tshirt is always classic. I could go on and on, but thats a basis of what I like and what I don't like, and wow thats a long paragraph.

thanks Shelby. you got me thinking.

guys- i love the skateboarder length. if you're going to have long hair, keep good care of it. don't let it go all mangly.

i love denim bermuda's, board shorts.
i love it when guys wear button ups over a plain tee & roll the sleeves up and unbutton the shirt. layering is amazing.

i've never found a pair of capri's that i've liked.

i dont' care if the bottom of my jeans gets wrecked from walking on them, but honestly, i think i'd like to keep one pair of jeans in good order.

Don't like the jeans that have my butt hanging out - uggggg.

Uggs are aweful.
Big sunglasses - aweful.
Bangs on the side - nice.
tight tees on guys - nice!!!
Low riders on guys - nice.
Flip flops on guys - (they better have good toe nails).
Capri's = like them
Body piercing - I'm too afraid to do it.
Curls - yes.
Designer bags - yes
long earrings - yes
white shoes - NO WAY
shrugs - where's the rest of it and why wear a sweater in the summer???
Male jewelry - cool (as long as it's leather with a bit of metal)
Layered look is good
Love a guy in dress shirt, open except for the middle of the shirt with jeans or cargos and flip flops.....very Neuvo riche.

I like polo's, jeans, button down shirts only if they are from Old Navy, Aeropostale, or American Eagle and some Hollister because some Hollister and all Abercrombie stuff are way to expensive. I like some sarcastic t-shirts and hate ripped jeans because I can rip them myself. I like and dis-like some big sunglasses because some are way to big. Thats pretty much it with what I like. And clothing does not represent who you are in today's society.

I can't stand anything related to the "emo" or "scenester" style. I bully those kids at school.

I hate just about any trend. Mostly because someone will follow a trend, then say they arn't and how they are "original", when they look like everybody else.

I try my best not to follow trends. I wear what I like, I listen to what I like, I do what I like, I say what I like, and if someone doesn't like it, well screw them. :confused3

*i dont like skinny jeans
*love flats
*in LOVE with UGGS i have 4 pairs :blush:
*i love big sunglasses, but not to big, not like the ones nicole ritchie wears those are horrible
*side swept bangs- have em! and i do have to say i've had them longer than anyone in my school (not saying i started it but my hairdresser gave them to me when i was 12 and they weren't really in then...)
*bling xD-bleh hate it
*baggy t-shirts hate em, why are guys who need a medium (fits loose) buying XXXL???? it makes noooooo sense
*tight tees on guys-eww no it looks like their wearing girls clothes

the majority of my clothes are from free people, urban outfitters, abercrombie, hollister, american eagle and some stores in NYC

I think out of all the posts you've made, that has to be my favorite.

I agree with you on not following trends. Trends are trends because one person wears something they like and everyone else likes it. And if I don't I'm not wearing it. people look good when they're comfortable. and I wear what I feel comfortable in. And what i'm comfortable in other people may not be comfortable in. People are beautiful when they believe in themselves.

i agree with you both, being comfortable is most important. but some people are comfortable in things that are trendy that others find, not comfortable. So not all people who wear those things are following trends, yes the majority of them are, but some of them are truly most comfortable in that. and i will say that i do partake in some of these trends, but not the ones i feel uncomfortable in or that dont look good on me. if i dont feel confident in the things im wearing then i wont buy them.
but we shouldn't really make conclusions or judge people by what trends they follow or what stores they shop at (not saying you guys are judging any one :goodvibes general statement)
and i have to disagree, trends are things that stores (really the designers) set out on display for everyone to wear, most of the time it takes one bold person to wear it first and then everyone else sees it at the store after and likes it too is like oh its okay now im not the only one who liked it, i guess i'll get it now.
