Trends Or Styles Of Clothing

I think out of all the posts you've made, that has to be my favorite.

I agree with you on not following trends. Trends are trends because one person wears something they like and everyone else likes it. And if I don't I'm not wearing it. people look good when they're comfortable. and I wear what I feel comfortable in. And what i'm comfortable in other people may not be comfortable in. People are beautiful when they believe in themselves.

All of the trends I have ever followed, I liked. I always buy & wear clothing I actually like and feel comfortable in. On numerous occasions I've seen a few girls at my school (who are really nice girls) who tried to fit and wear the trend, but they ended up being uncomfortable & looked stupid. They always had their own kind of Indian vibe to them, that they looked happy in. They tried something else & they looked miserable.

I LOVE polos and knee-length shorts. I also wear a bunch of button down shirts. Crocs are the ugliest shoes ever but they are so comfortable that I have a pair. I wear my The North Face jacket almost every day from October to March. Yup that's my closet.

Wow. That sentence. Wow. That's really powerful and really true.

I basicaly wear anything from American Eagle. It isnt because it is ''in'' right now, its because i love the style. It's me. I love the preppy clothes. And they are made well. I do wear ripped jeans, just because i like them. I have tried to rip them myself, but they dont seem to come out the same way. but i would never pay $200 dollars for jeans. I do like Uggs, but dont own a pair, but would like to. I'm really into colors and patterns. I love jewlery. and i will admit, i do follow fashion.

I dont follow any trends. My daily outfit is basically jeans, tee shirt, hoodie, and some accessories if you consider that outfit a trend then i guess i do follow trend then :confused3 .
I dont get the hype of spicked belts. My friends all wear them and so does everyone and there mother. Im the girl that decides a nintendo controller would make an awesome belt buckle.I also randomly warped my dogs leash around my waist and walked around the mall as a joke i got a lot of compliments on it oddly enough. So I guess what makes my style unique is my odd accessories i guess.

I've never gotten the thing with Spiked belts on guys and belt-buckles. :confused3

Spiked belts are .. weird. & the huge belt buckle thing is ridiculous. i don't like it when people tuck in their shirts & guys nowadays tuck them in to show off their 'bling'

it looks weird. i think everyone should have their own personal style.

I wear a black leather belt with silver rings where you buckle it (it has a regular buckle) I personally like those better than the spiked ones. I really hate the white leather, silver spikes. thats just weird.

okay. i must admit. i am guilty of partaking in alot of the trends mentioned above.
and i wont deny that i'm a collar poppin'-abercrombie shoppin'-destroyed denim wearin'-high ponytailin' prep.

but it's not because i'm trying to fit into any particualr mold (though it does sounds like i am, i know) but it's just because that's how i like to live my life, I'm a happy-go-lucky person, and i just REALLY like the colourful, fun clothes and the upbeat lifestyle.

I'm probably the only person (prep or not) in my school without side swept bangs though :P

Okay so the trends. I don't follow trends just to follow trends, I follow them beacuse either a)i like them or b)i did it before it became a HUUUUGE thing. (not claiming to invent trends, i just read alot of fashion magazines, therefore, i know what's coming and am ahead of the game.) but again, it's not just to be trendy, i fi see something i like-i'll wear it. If it's ugly, i simply won't.

UGG BOOTS & CROCS=LOVE.
i'm all for comfort. i don't care how 'ugly' they are. whatever. they feel nice. im gonna wear them.
Big sunglasses-they are great. look good & protect me eyes from the big bad sun = ]
tight tshirts on boys?-ehhh. some are okay. i like my boys in polos. :P
skinny jeans/flats-GREAT combo. i LOVE skinny jeans. (i always hated flares, they remind me of bellbottoms from the '70s!)

i don't own any designer bags (like i can afford THAT on a 7.25/hr pay :P) but if i could afford them i'd probably get one of those big fat oversized ones.
i LOVE oversized bags-i have one from old navy, it kinda looks hippie-ish. but it fits all my stuff (LOTS of stuff) and its great to carry around.

Also-something that makes me mad-my hippie-bag.....i get made fun of for it 'what's up with your huge bag you hippie?' now like SO many girls have them. People make fun of my crocs-now like everyone @ work has them. People made fun of my ripped jeans (i honestly fell and ripped a hole in them and still wore them. ) now it's a huge trend.
i I take the critisisms and then just laugh when i see people with the same things.

and THAT. was my rant.
i hope you enjoyed it :Pinkbounc

oh dear.

Uggs were awful. Especially when people tucked their jeans in them. I also agree that $200 ripped jeans are ridicilous.

But I do like the uggs that slip-on and arent boots. But yes I HATE when people tuck jeans/anyother thing into boots.
