looking to possibly stay in the Treehouse Villa's next December.... have never stayed there before, anyone have any firsthand info/opinions? From the photo's I've seen, they look amazing!

They ARE amazing, I hope you will love them! They do have a few HA units if you need one but most are not. There are quite a few steps leading up to the deck and the front door. Only queen beds in the master and second bedroom and the third has bunkbeds with a Pack 'n Play in the closet. The living room has a pull-out sofa and sofa chair to sleep 3 other guests. The kitchen is wonderful, the views are wonderful(especially the water views) and you are only a short walk to the pool, bus stops, boat dock, and walkway to the main SSR areas. There is no parking at each individual treehouse. There are parking spaces and a short walkway to several clustered units. Not far at all. The buses are continuous and they go to the main SSR area and then to the parks/DTD. Most guests prefer to have a car but the bus service is just fine.

I know others will have other things to share but I'm sure they will agree that these special units are wonderful and should be experienced at least once. Have a magical time! :goodvibes

We LOVE THV. My family vote to stay there again for our June trip. Everyone likes the extra privacy that 3rd bedroom provides. DH & I really liked the patio, which is way bigger than a SSR 2-bedroom balcony.

We were lucky enough to stay in them in November and had an amazing time! Fortunately we were able to get them again this November when we stay pre and post cruise. It's nice to know that if someone decides they want to join us at the last minute, we will have enough room. I say if you can get them, go for it. :thumbsup2

We're staying at the THV for the first time in November. It'll be great!

They sound awesome! We hope to stay there on our next trip.

We stayed in one last January and absolutely loved it. We were there with my folks, and everyone was able to have their own space. The kids were all together in the bunk bed room (one on an air mattress) - their choice, not forced. My folks in one room, and us in the master. Because the kids were all in the bunk bed room, the adults were able to enjoy the living room after the kids went to bed. Nice LR, DR, and Kitchen area - but we really loved the outdoor deck and the individual grill. It's a charcoal grill and we used it 3 or 4 times. It was awesome.

We'll be back in another Treehouse this coming October. Looking forward to it!!

Loved the Treehouse Villas!!!
Make sure you're in shape to haul your stuff up the stairs.
Parking may be a little tight & you have to walk a short distance from the car to the villa.

We have one rented for Thanksgiving this year and I am so excited, it will be our first THV stay.

Did I read correctly, each one has its own charcoal grill?

My wifes family and I might rent one in Nov of next year. There will be 8 of us. Everyone is on board except my wife and mother in law.

How close is the Disney transporatation. We're spoiled staying at the Boardwalk?

Yes, they are at the bottom of the steps. We had one for 3 nights Christmas week and yes they are as wonderful as they seem. We had two families, 9 people and it is a bit tight with that many. We want to stay in them again, but with only 6 or 7 people.

There is a bus from the THV that goes to either the Grandstand or the Springs at SSR. Then you catch a bus to the theme parks. Or you can take the 10-15 minute walk from the THV to the Grandstand and hop a bus there. Or you can park your one vehicle at the THV (any additional must be parked at the Grandstand) and drive yourself.

Can I ask how you (or others) have arranged sleeping in the THV? I think getting a THV for a future family trip would be so much fun. It would be DBF and I, his mom and stepdad, and his stepbrother, wife and 2 boys (currently ages 3 and 6). Any suggestions?
Sorry to the OP for hijacking, I got way ahead of myslef on my own future planning :o.

The two of you get the master. Mom and step dad get the other bedroom with the queen bed. Two boys get the third bedroom with the bunks. Stepbrother and wife get the sleeper sofa in the living room.
