We will be celebrating my 50th birthday at the Treehouse Villas in April. We are planning a party with family and friends. My question is... how long of a walk is there from the Treehouse Villas to the Saratoga Springs main pool??? Is it walkable, or do we need to drive there from the THV's? Is there a THV I should request that would make a walk to SSR shorter??

Thanks in advance!

We just stayed in the tree house villas for our daughter's wedding in November. The tree house villa's DO have a swimming pool of their own. They also have a hot tub. We stayed in the first grouping of tree house's. I believe we had unit 7003. It is approx a mile or 1 1/2 miles from the springs pool. It would be quite a walk. The treehouses are very nice, but if you are looking to entertain in them, they can get very crowded. We had 9 people in ours and it felt a bit cramped. We moved over to OKW grand villa from the tree houses after about 4 nights because we couldn't get the tree houses for our entire stay. We really wished we would have had the grand villa during the wedding because it has so much more room.

Sue;

Thanks for your reply. They'll be 9 of us too, but only 4 adults and 5 kids ages; 17, 14, 10, 8 & 5. Is the pool at the THV nice or is a "quiet" type pool? Is there a place to buy food and/or drinks too or is it just a pool (if you know what I mean).

Thanks!

The pool is pretty small. There was just some vending machines in the pool area. I don't know if you will be renting a car or not, but you may be interested in knowing that the parking around the treehouse villa's is VERY limited and you are only allowed one parking spot. The treehouses and surrounding areas are very quiet. We found it to be a nice area, but somewhat inconvenient in some regards. They do have a couple of boat docks which can take you to DDD but they can certainly be a walk if they aren't located right near your tree house. The beds were comfortable, but the living room furniture was leather and rather hard to sit on for any length of time. There are bunk beds in one room, a queen bed in two seperate rooms one of those rooms has a private bath (no lock on the door, so if you are taking a shower you beeter not hope anyone comes in) the shower in this room has a glass door :) HAHA. The second bathroom has a shower curtain. Kitchen is beautiful. They all have really nice large decks with deck furniture and a table. I have heard that the points for these tree houses have gone up too. If you are interested in seeing videos of them, go out to utube and type in SSR treehouse villas. There are a few really good videos of the inside of the units.:cool2:

Depends upon where your Treehouse is located. Could be 10-12 minutes at a leisurely pace. Could be 20-25 minutes from the most distant units.

We were there once and it took about 10-15 minutes to walk to the SSR main area. A very nice walk. Have fun! :goodvibes

And you will pass right by the Grandstand Pool area, which is fun for the kids.

We just stayed in the Grandstand area last December. We did not feel it was a long walk to the Treehouses, but you would have to have one near the entrance to the walkway. Other THV would have a long walk.

One thing we did notice was the availabilty of the THV busses. Everytime we came back from the parks, there was a THV bus waiting at the Grandstand area.

The THV busses only went to 2 of the SSR bus stops, the Grandstand and the Springs (Main Pool area). I do not know the route (Grandstand to Spring to THV or Spings to Grandstand to THV).

Many times when we were at the Springs bus stop, there was a THV bus there also.

Seems like they want to make it convenient for those staying at THVs.
