Tree House Near The Boat Docks?

Sorry-I didn't mean for this to turn into such a hot topic. We were there last October and the dock was behind us, so we thought it would be fun to take it but no one seemed to know it was there. CMs even at the SSR bus stop told me there wasn't one. So, we decided one evening to take it back from DTD and it took forever. I don't know if that's how it always is, but it was for us. There was a bit of a line for the ferry which didn't come very often-- and it does not hold a lot of people. They don't stuff it like the buses! One site said they hold 34 people. I seem to recall the time on the ferry to be long, too, and I know we jumped off at the main dock while DH stayed the whole way back to our villa. We got back before him.

Wish there was a map of the route somewhere. Can't seem to find one.

No hot topic..I was just curious if there was a particular issue with the schedule or routes. I seem to recall there was a change to those ferries within the last year or so, but I don't actually know. With a new dock now (treeshouses), i was just wondering how the ferries run now.

The changes involved the ferry routes. It used to be that OKW and SSR shared a ferry. Now, OKW has a seperate ferry and SSR and THV share a ferry. They also changed the SSR ferry to the west side dock (actually more pleasure island then west side).....

The ferries still run on a set schedule (I forget exact, but it was like every 20 minutes during peak times and every 30 for non-peak?). The THV ferry does seem long compared to SSR, you go back further into the canals, so it obviously takes longer.

There is a walking path (marked cast members only) from THV's to the path that goes to west side. I am pretty sure the cast member sign is either because they just haven't removed it, or because it is poorly lit, so they don't want a bunch of guest complaints about the path being dark. Now they can just say, "Oh, that is for cast members" use the SSR path.
