Which Tree House addresses are near the boat dock to DTD? We want to stay in a Tree House and want to take the boats to DTD.

The only boat dock I've ever seen or used at SST/THV is the one directly behind the Carriage House/golf club area. That isn't that close to the THV's. You'd have to walk through the Grandstand area and up around the curve towards the Porte Cochere and veer to the right down that path, if I'm not mistaken.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will chime in.

Maybe there is a path by the river that goes past Grandstand over to the dock? :confused3

All the treehouses in that area are pretty close together. I would make a more generic request for near the Boat Dock or South Bus Stop. When we were trying to get near the walkway to Grandstand it was pretty difficult for the CM's to figure out which ones were where. They had to keep looking over the maps to figure it out. The 7020's, 7030's, 7050's and 7060's are all very convenient for the bus stop, pool, boat and walkway!

We were in 7018 and weren't too far from the boat dock. It was on the next little pathway off the main road. I think our grouping was 7015 to 7019.

Thanks everyone for the great info.

Would you do the Tree House for a December over Xmas week long trip? Or would you suggest another place? We are thinking Xmas 2011 for a week +2 days and want to be able to setup a small Xmas tree and celebrate as if we were at home. Something diffrent for a change since the grand parents left us this year. :confused3

We stayed in 7026 and it was a great location , not far from the dock pool bus stop or walking path to saratoge springs

It felt VERY homey to us...especially since it's a stand-alone unit. I would think it'd be quite magical for Christmas. :santa:

If you are looking to make a request, I'd request "near boat dock" rather than request a specific treehouse.

Do you own at SSR? I would think that unless you have the 11 month booking window, this might be a very hard time of year to get a THV. We booked at 11 months for one this past May and got the last one available.

I do agree with PP that THV are probably the homiest of the villas.

Thanks… We own at OKW and Kidani… We don’t get our hopes up to much most of the time when we try to book other than our home resort, but we do end up with something close to what we want. We are praying we are blessed with a TH but if we don’t we take what is available.

Now thats the attitude more people need. Thank You!;)

Thank you very much!
I don’t get most people on the message boards these days. It seems as though they are turing to the boards to use it as a Gripe Board. Now I do have to admit I have posted a problem or two on here but it was a situation where I reported a problem with a resort or DVC, however; both situations were quickly resolved by the Disney management, AND I posted the results of the situation.
A positive direction is more in order and when everyone is more positive all points of life are more positive. :cool1::yay::woohoo::rotfl::dance3:

we were in 7022 and it was right behind us.

Even the CMs at SSR told us it didn't go to to the treehouses--I was arguing that I could see the dock. :goodvibes But it was a lllloooooonnnngggg trip from DTD to THV by ferry. Would never do it again.

We do the ferry trip to DTD each time we check in at OKW and the trip is no longer from there than from the THV. We enjoy it.

I was including the time it took to wait in line for the ferry at DTD, too. There seemed to be a ton of people and there are only a few ferries, so not like the buses where there's another in a few minutes. It would probably have been easier to take it to DTD with no waiting.

Hmmm... you must go to WDW in the summer. We go in the off seasons and have very little wait. We take the bus when the line is long.

:rotfl: Nope! Every October. Don't know why it was so crowded at DTD last year, because the parks weren't. Altho, it could just be my Eeyore like luck. ;)

Please explain the long trip comment. Is there something wrong with the boat routes?

thanks.
