Hi everyone,

Friends of ours are taking their teenagers to WDW for the first time this June :thumbsup2 I am so excited for them! I'd like to make up a little gift bag for their trip. But, I have two toddlers, so I need help on teenager ideas. They are have two girls (14 and 16) and one boy (18).

I was thinking...
glow necklaces & bracelets

and that's as far as I got! Help!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The husband is currently in Iraq (former marine, now def. contractor working w/our troops), and the wife is a cancer survivor. It will be a well-deserved trip for the whole family :goodvibes

What about some Burts Bees lip balms (the kind with SPF). Some Aveeno sunblock (the spray on kind). A pack of those skinny headbands. A pack of the gripper style pony holders. A satiny sleeping mask (I've seen these at the dollar store). An Itunes gift card. Instead of putting their stuff in a standard gift bag you could hit a Pacsun for a cheap little Roxy tote bag that could double as a pool tote or if they are more sports minded you could put it all in one of those drawstring backpacks.

Do you know their shoe sizes? You could throw in a pair of Old Navy flops. Also, check PacSun for little accessories.

If they are driving maybe some fun games for the car ie playing cards, 20Q electronic game(it is so much fun) and like $10.00 they could share 1. little snacks are always good my DD18l ove all the little kids snacks, gummy bear, fun dip, tootsie rolls ect.

Maybe a special pin or two, this can get them started on pin trading...
Maybe even a lanyard...
My dd is going to be 17 soon, and just loves pin trading in WDW!!

Thanks for the ideas everyone! This was a great help -- I knew I could count on fellow Disers! :cool1:

Sour Skittles, (they don't melt and all of my kids friends love them), a roll of quarters for the video games, pressed penny machines or vending machines, sample size sun block to carry with them, or a WDW gift card.

What about:

* disposable cameras/ underwater camera
* photo album
* those strings that hold your sunglasses for the fast rides
* mister fans

Love the flip flop idea!

I am so glad you thought of this. Sometimes a teenager could get overlooked when there are kids going to Disneyland ( this happened to my older brothers and I on many occasions) I would think a Disney t-shirt, a sleep masks, some candy ( no matter what age, candy is a fav) and maybe a Disney gift certificate. You could also find Disney music online and make a burned cd for them to listen to during the trip or afterwards.

Smileys They are found next to the fruit roll ups etc at Walmart my DD an all her sports minded friends loves them not really a candy since they are made with fruit but the kids eat them as such.

Trail mix, granola bars, chex mix, small snack size can of pringles.

Backpack with the heavy string straps teens seem to still love those things male an female alike

Teens guide to disney book that they can share on the way to disney or give that to them a couple weeks before so they have time to read it.

One PP mentioned the game 20Q's if driving...this would still be a great game if flying. If they live near you in CT, its still a 2 1/2 hour flight at best. I think 20Q's is a scream. I second the snacks and candy, flip-flops, towel, Disney GC.

While we would tend to buy all Disney stuff for our little ones, to get them excited, you don't have to go all Disney for teens. Put things that they would need on any sun-filled vacation. That way, they can still feel cool while sporting it up in Disney.

Definitely go with an underwater camera if you know they'll be heading to Typhoon Lagoon. They may already have digital cameras ( I know most teens around here do), but the underwater ones are pretty cool.

If you are giving them the bag right before they leave, teen magazines. I love the idea to make the bag part of the gift too.
