My husband is concerned the resort will treat us different if we book AAA and not direct through Disney. Please help me convince him AAA will be fine. I can book AAA for about $200 cheaper. Thanks

We booked a AAA package last summer for the very same reason (better price) and we were treated WONDERFULLY! I wouldn't worry... enjoy your trip! :wizard:

He has nothing to worry about. I've gone there booked with a AAA package & everyone I dealt with at our resort was great. In fact, the CM who checked us in went out of his way to see we got all our room requests filled. He was so great I made a special point to speak with his manager to tell him how nice the CM was. He deserved the recognition & I made sure he got it. His manager was so pleased I came & talked with him. He kept thanking me over & over. Nope, not a thing to worry about booking through AAA...have a magical trip!

How would the resort know how your room was booked? I just booked our trip through AAA today, and they book through Disney. So would the resort know you used AAA? And why would they care? Just wondering! I don't see how using AAA is any different than using any other code for a resort or a package. Does your DH have an extra $200 burning a hole in his pocket? Because I can take that $200 for you all if that would help! ;)

I know. I asked him the same dang question, like how will they know?! He is also freaked out with what if AAA screws it up? He is ticked at AAA for taking over 3 hours to change a tire last week in subzero temps. Who votes for not telling him til we get there that I used AAA? :D

Have you checked both the Disney TAs like Dreams Unlimited and doing it on your own (not as a package from Disney) I have always AAA to be a little high. Dreams can book your room on an AAA discount and will move it if something cheaper comes out, AAA has a real problem with any discount but thier own.

I am booking the MYW Dining, so AAA would be the only way to get the discount on my room with a package. :( otherwise, I would be using someone else. This is correct right?

We decided to use the dining because we are planning on a sit-down meal daily and the plan will certainly save us money. I did the math about 800 (ok a few :teeth: ) times and the plan saves $ every time for us. :)

I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. I reserved through Disney first to ensure we got the resort and dates we wanted because I couldn't get through to AAA online while travelling. Once I did though, I got the exact same package for my family's trip for $222 less. DW was happy because this pays for Character breakfasts and other fun things!

I was really happy with AAA and Disney reservations. They were both great and when I cancelled the first Disney made reservation the cast member was really wonderful about it, thanking me for coming to WDW regardless of how it was booked.

If you are using MidAtlantic AAA, I recommend calling and asking for Rosann at (888-203-6348 ext 4) as she was wonderful in helping me get the vacation planned and even made suggestions to help because we are bringing a two year old with us...

Good luck and enjoy!
