We are two adults on the dining plan and no kids. We want to use two of our table service credits to buy a meal for two other adults who are not on the dining plan so all four of us can eat one sit down meal together. Has anyone had success with this?

You can't do this.

Dining credits are for the people who are on the Dining Plan.

The most you can use at one TS is 2TS credits. If it's a 2TS credit place they will let you use 4TS credits. Your KTTW will have just 2 adults listed on it and that is the max. amount of people that can deduct meals at one time.

Nope, you arent allowed to share credits with those not on the Dining Plan :)

However, this certainly doesn't mean they can't join you for a meal. It just means that you cannot apply your credits to cover them. The servers can split the checks between DDP and OOP just fine.

Disney prefers that you not use the dining plan to "treat" people who didn't pay for it; therefore they have a rule now (they didn't always have it) that you may not order any more DDP meals than you have DDP guests listed on your key card.

Cafeen is correct though - if you are thinking that you cannot eat at the same table with your guests because they are not on the dining plan, that isn't so.

It is more than a preference. The brochures out right say that it is not allowed.

I prefer the word prefer.
I think it comes down to the CM server.
There are a lot of rules that they get right and get wrong and a lot that they seem to just make up even though the brochure doesn't say it.

Sometimes it makes you wonder where they come up with things.

I think my next trip I will just carry the brochure around with me all the time and point things out everytime they make up their own rule....lol.
