Treasure Hunt on Castaway Cay?

When we were on Castaway Cay on our last cruise, people were walking around with Treasure Hunt maps. We went to guest services to see if we could get one, but were told we had to go to the orientation the day before.

We are going to be on the Magic in January (was on the Wonder when we saw the maps) and in looking at the Navigators, I don't see any orientation for the Treasure Hunt listed (I do see it listed on the 3-day Wonder Navigators).

First question, do they have it on the Magic?

Second question, does anyone have a copy of it they can post or know where I can view a copy on the numerous DCL info sites?

We did this on the 11/05 Magic--it was a highlight for my kids. They had to pick up the orientation package in Preludes at 9:30. It was a scavenger hunt of sorts, but it took you in a systematic pattern, with the first clue at the post office, and the last clue leading to the treasure.


Spoiler alert--The treasure was two coins each, one that was from Who Wants to Be a Mousekateer, and the other said Castawy Cay treasure on it.

My kids were very into this, so we did the whole treasure hunt first thing, and it took less than an hour. It was a fun diversion that gave us first timers a chance to see the entire island.

On my 4 day Wonder cruise the Scavenger Hunt Orientation was the day BEFORE CC at 4PM and was listed in that day's Navigator:

"Pirates IN The Caribbean Scavenger Hunt Orientation: Collect your Treasure Map in WaveBands, Dec 3 Forward & get all your clues for our fun family Treasure Hunt on Castaway Cay."

We just got back today (looong travel day) and our orientation for the 3 day wonder was the day before the Castaway Cay day at 3:30 in Wavebands. Kinda of a bummer for folks who are off doing excursions in Nassau.

We really liked it too - They give you a really nice treasure map in an envelope with the clues....which you cannot figure out before you get there, BTW - you have to see them to get them. The treasure was coins with "I found treasure in castaway Cay on them". Great fun!

This was not true when we were on the 10/27/05 3-nt Wonder. I asked someone on the island who had a map where they got it, and they said at the orientation. I checked at the info booth on the island and they said I had to check with Guest Services on the boat. I stopped there and they said I could not have one and the only way you could was by attending the orientation meeting for Castaway Cay. I was shocked by the lack of customer service in this instance.

By the way, can anyone post (or link to) pictures of the map?

Wonder why they do this? Is it so they know exactly how many of each scavenger item to hide?

I just got off the Magic on Saturday. We did not attend the orientation for the Treasure hunt but we asked on the island for a packet. The first place we asked said they didn't have any, the second spot had them so I took two. One for us and one for the scrapbook.
