I am looking for some ideas for activities to do as part of a treasure hunt for DD - 11. We want her to have to follow the leads to find her birthday or Christmas present. I know Christmas is a long way off but I know doing a good treasure hunt can take some time - particularly since I do not want to spend a ton of money. In the past we have used a compass with binoculars, math problems, alphabet descramble/code and general clues to make her think about things like a rhyme or puzzle. Does anyone have any other ideas? She loved Disney's National Treasure and how one clue had to be used for a later clue. I would like to be able to do something like that. Any ideas?
