I have googled this and I see conflicting advice. We now have a travertine and marble bathroom. If you have either one of these, what do you use to clean them? The only solid advice I got was don't use regular cleaners because they will "etch" them.

How new is the installation? Do you know the exact type of stone? Was it sealed upon installation? Has the grout been sealed? My DH just rattled off all these questions when I read your question to him. He's a manager for a tile & stone company and said his answer will depend on these things.

We had it installed in the last few days. The tile and grout were sealed. Floor and shower. The travertine on the floor is tumbled?

First make sure water beads when dropped on the tile and grout to verify it was sealed well. If water doesn't bead on the grout & tile, then I would question if it were sealed. This is a common way installers cut corners is to charge for sealant and then either not do it at all or use a low grade sealer...you can do damage to the work if you clean it without it being sealed. If all seems fine then what you want is Stone and Tile cleaner made by a company called Miracle Sealants. It's a neutral pH balanced concentrated daily cleaner.
