Since the Podcast crew mentioned TravelSmith on this week's podcast, I wonder if they've experienced a bump in traffic? Do I remember right that Dis'ers helped boost the fortunes of Hydroflask when it got discussed on the show? Of course, I'm pretty sure that TravelSmith is a larger operation than Hydroflask, so maybe the effect wouldn't be as noticeable.

I have no connection with Travelsmith, so I wouldn't have a way of getting this information.

I just like to share information when I find something I think others might find useful.

I think the Travelsmith travel blanket is a great product...and lots of our listeners travel.:thumbsup2

Kevin --

Sorry if my initial post gave the impression that I thought you were associated with Travelsmith -- I didn't mean to imply that at all. It's just that I've been a big fan of Travelsmith for some time now, and I was psyched to hear them mentioned in this week's Rapidfire. I would love it if your discussion drove some new traffic their way.

I first discovered their site when I was planning a 3-week long trip on which I wanted to bring only a single backpack. A lot of their clothing packs very small, so I was able to pull off this "travel very light for an extended period of time" goal.

Magellans also has a lot of things similar to Travel Smith.

Hi Dave...

No worries. I didn't take what you posted in a negative way at all.

After the Hydroflask discussion, I actually did speak with the owner of the company.

I have had no contact with Travelsmith, but this just happened....so who knows.

I haven't tried any other products from Travelsmith, but I'm very pleased with my travel blanket.

I was looking for a packable, portable solution to my own weirdness about airplane blankets and some hotel sheets.

The things I had were too heavy and took up too much room.

This is perfect...

Mt husband gets most of his suits and other wardrobe pieces from Travelsmith, he loves their comfy material. We have been big fans for years!

I've been buying from Travelsmith for years. They have a really great selection of really great items. However, if I'm purchasing something from them that is not the Travelsmith brand, I'll shop around first, because they tend to seriously mark up third party merchandise. But it's a great source for all sorts of travel thingamabobs. Stuff you might not even realize you need! :goodvibes

Sayhello

Interesting to hear the crew talk about the Dreamsack on the podcast. I purchased one from TravelSmith a number of years ago when I used to travel every week for business. After seeing one of those investigation shows about how unclean some sheets were, I figured this would be the solution.

The Dreamsack is like a silk sleeping bag - you put it between the sheets/covers and then you sleep inside it so the hotel sheets are not touching you. There's a pocket you can put the hotel pillow into as well.

If you like silk sheets you might like it, but the problem I had was it made me feel claustrophobic. I am a very restless sleeper, and whenever I turned over I ended up with the Dreamsack wrapped underneath/around me. Just a bit too much cocoon-like for me.
