Travelodge at Manchester Airport

Does anyone know how easy it is to get from the Travelodge to the airport without your own car? Thanks to a great tip from here, I have booked a room for £26, but plan on leaving our car with family outside Manchester. We'll get a lift to the hotel the night before, but then how easy will it be to get a cab early in the morning? Do Travelodge have someone on reception who can book a taxi for you? I'm presuming it's not walking distance.

I believe the airport is a mile and a half away so a taxi shouldn't be too pricey

I'd imagine that the staff will be frequently called upon to give advice about taxi firms

We left the Manchester Airport Travelodge at 5.30am and there was someone on the desk. I'm sure that you could arrange with reception to phone for a taxi the night before and book your cab for the following morning

Im also staying at the Manchester Traveloge without a car when we go in October, Im hoping getting a taxi will be fairly stright forward.
