I've never used Travelocity before and would like to hear from anyone who has.Do you pay for room only all at once and how do I figure out how much tax will be added? Also where are you all getting your park tickets? Has anyone found that it was cheaper to go with Travelocity and buy tickets someplace and pay for meals or do Free Dinning? We are looking at moderate resort and 2 adults (maybe 3) and one 8 year old.We have always booked a package of some kind.Any help would be great.

I just booked our room at CBR through travelocity. I had to pay for the entire room and tax right away. It says I can cancel up to 5 days before my check in date without penalty. I plan on getting my park tickets through undercovertourist. Their tickets are a little cheaper than buying them straight through Disney and they will ship them to me for free. I figured it was worth doing things this way because it saves me $200.

I know that when you book through travelocity or book rooms separately without a package, you can't do the dining plan.

I booked POFQ through Travelocity and with the savings, DH and I will buy AP's and return again within the year.

You do pay for the entire length of stay up front and then you have until 5 days before check-in to cancel without charge (as the previous poster mentioned).

You can get park passes through Disney or a travel agent as well as the many online agencies that provide them.

When are you guys all getting good Travelocity deals? I put in my dates for late October and it's definitely not as good as what I got from Disney.... and I'm only getting the 20 or 30 percent code I forget, because Disney didn't want to send me the monster one :( LOL

I'll just copy and paste from my post on the original thread....

It looks like most of the rates are valid until mid September. There are a few blackout periods (where they are either at or near capacity in the height of summer).

I believe they only have a limited supply of rooms per resort and it states in bold that this is a "time limited" offer due to expire at any time.

We wanted POR, but they have none of the discounted rooms for our dates in Sept. but POFQ had them, so for a savings of $400 we had no problem switching to French Quarter (we love both resorts anyway).

Just looking at the overall listings of rooms they have available, here are some sample rates at the various WDW resorts:

WL $149
WL Villas $205
BC $204
BC Villas $205
YC $204
BW $204
OKW $183
AKL $149
AKL Villas $254
Poly $208
Contemporary $170
Grand Floridian $254
Saratoga $183
CBR $75
POFQ $74
All Stars $59
POP $59

Swan, Dolphin, POR, Coronado, and Fort Wilderness all seem to be at regular price.

**Keeping in mind that I am looking at the CDN rates on travelocity.ca so US rates are likely to be a bit cheaper**

Remember with Travelocity reservations:

They're not packages, so you're not eligible for the dining plan.

Travelocity owns the reservation, you don't - if you want to make any changes to it, you need to go through Travelocity. You can't call Disney directly to do anything to your room reservation.
