Travelling with a youngster...

Go for it! We took DS at 6 months and then returned when he was 3 and DD2. We went again when they were 6 & 4. Take advise from people who have actually experienced it. The children coped better than we did with the time difference!
A wiser women than me once said "children should enhance your life, not stop you living it" seeing her truly believing face will wipe away any thoughts of time differences etc!
My sister is coming with us this year and she has 3 sons, ages 5,4 (turning 4 while we are there) and 1.
At least you know you can get good medical help with out language barriers and it's sanitary.

Thank-you for all the wonderful replies!

It’s put me back at ease that DD would be totally fine travelling across the pond to ‘home’ :goodvibes

I just want to see her face and experience it all through my child’s eyes. I know my Mum & Dad took us and did that and we still talk about those trips to this day. I know DD wouldn’t remember it all at 3, but I still think her face at times would be priceless and outweigh any negatives. Thank-you for pointing out the ‘cons’ also, it helps to hear views that it’s not all plain sailing, but still totally worth it. DD is quite a pleasant child (so far, haha), so I believe she’d be okay.

My Dad recently informed us that he’d like to try PE also when flying this time, which I imagine is a little better than economy again, so I’m even more at ease. DD is a little wanderer at present, so I may have to schedule in a few laps of the plane, but other than that, I think she’d be ok...

It’s on...we’re still going, despite what my friends think! :woohoo:

Thanks everyone! :thumbsup2
