I am sure the parks accepts travellers checks as a form of payment, but do they have amount limits? Like nothing higher than a $100 check? Just curious. :surfweb:

They may not accept them actually... you may want to call and find out, they aren't used much anymore...

I went in April, and I used traverls checks. I had no problem. My bank had nothing larger then 50.00. Have a wonderfull trip!

There was a big discussion about all the methods of paying for your holiday a while ago, and a few others along with myself use travellers checks. They do accept them all over the park, and in restaurants. Even the front desk at HoJo's cashed them for us every day, we had mostly 100's For us it's the cheapest way of converting Canadian dollars, cheaper than buying cash and a LOT cheaper than using a credit card. I never once had a problem using one, although I did not try at the little carts that sell drinks or popcorn, etc.

Thanks! I was hoping to be able to use the 100's. :goodvibes

I totally understand about the little carts, for that I would carry some cash with me. Just makes it so much easier for me to do the travellers checks.

Have a great day all!

You are welcome! we would usually cash a check at the lobby of our hotel in the morning on the way to the park, then if we needed to, cash one in a restaurant in the park and of course get the change, and or cash one in one of the stores like the Emporium and get the change, never had a problem getting cash to have on hand, even if it was a small purchase and we used a $100. they did not blink an eye :)

just remember to sign it, and then sign it again in front of the cashier...

They make us sign them before we leave the bank! but good tip....make sure and sign it the second time when the cashier is watching....don't sign it before hand!

We've used them at the carts and it wasn't a problem. I would probably use a smaller bill ($20)though.
