Not sure this is the right place to ask but where do you put your pins when you fly? In your carry-on or your check in suitcases? My grandson wants to keep the pins with him but I don't want to tell me during the security check in that we can't take them with us. Thank you!

This site is very helpful in terms of traveling with pins. Hope you and your DGS have fun on your next trip!

We've flown out of DFW with pins twice now and nobody paid any attention.

The screeners in Orlando see so many pins they don't even blink. The guy said to DH in August "Pins?" And DH started laughing. We had them on sheets of bubble wrap in a gift box in our carry on. If they wanted to see them it would have been very simple for them to flip through the sheets. There were probably 150 pins in that box and they had no problem with us taking it with us.:)

I never put my pins (or my jewelry) in my checked luggage, they're always in a carry-on. The worst that's happened with the pins is that the screener asks what's in the bag (sometimes I carry a LOT) and then they might have to open it up for a search, which is not an issue for me. I'd rather take a little more time getting through airport Security than have my pins/valuables stolen out of my luggage. I've never had a problem flying in and out of the three DC-area airports(BWI-Marshall, Dulles, and National) where the security is *tight* and I've been flying with pins going to WDW since November of 2001.

agnes!

I plan to carry my pin bag on in December. We are on an early flight and should arrive at our resort (ASSports) around 10:00 a.m. Since our room probably won't be ready when we arrive, does anyone know if there is a locked area where the CMs could keep my pin bag until we return from the parks? I certainly don't want to carry it to the parks and I don't want to leave it somewhere and take a chance on pins being stolen. Thanks!

I've not been to the values, but the other resorts I've stayed at have bell hop desks where you can check bags for the day and pick them up later with a ticket. We've used the desk for our pin bag and lap top before.

Then ASSports can probably do that as well. I'll probably call them to make sure. I definitely do not want my pins lost or stolen. Thanks!
