Traveling with lap top question?

It will not fit in the safe. For the first few days we left the computer with the front desk and they lock it up. We got tired of waiting in line to get it back so we took our chances with keeping it in the room. We would not advertise it and left it hidden in our suitcase.

It was fine for 12 nights but again it just takes the one employee on the edge to make that a bad call...

it's not always true that it wont fit in the safe, it all depends on the laptop and where you are staying, we have a macbook and it fit in the safe at POP with room to spare.

Locks are good, but call to make sure you are covered by your homeowners insurance. I have worked in IT for 20 years and laptops due go missing from hotel rooms even with locks.

The laptop cost half of our deductible, so if it gets stolen we'll be buying a new one out of pocket!

I usually just put my Work Laptop back in the Carry Case and back in the Suitcase - I've ready that some have been able to put theirs in the Safe but we've only stayed at Value's and there's no way my 15.4" would be able to be crammed in there - lol - Never had any Problems. :O)
