We are planning a Nov. trip with good friends. I'm hoping we can pull this off without damaging the relationship and/or ruining the vacation. Any advice from folks who have done this would be really helpful.
Here's our breakdown (ominous choice of word!):
Us: Husband, Me, Son (11yrs). Staying POR 8 nights/days. We love all parks, all attractions, pools, etc. We have free dining.
Them: Husband, Wife, Son (our son's bf, he's 10), Daughter 15
Staying SOG 5nights/days. Wife, daughter have clearly stated they don't like ANY attractions and will mainly walk around and shop. Husband, son will hopefully hang out with us for attractions. They ignore any advice about discounts or where to stay so do not have free dining. Wife and daughter like to eat around Epcot. Wife told us they would "take our snacks" (huh?) since we have free dining.
This family is not big on planning. Should we just plan our trip as we see best and hope we can meet up? I don't know how to work this out! (I'm started to regret the decision to go together but it's too late to change it and disappoint the kids and possibly hurt our friendship. We have to find a way to make this work, other than sedating me.) Help?:confused3
