Traveling with 8 month old

Anybody know if any grocery type store near DL that will be open on Christmas Day? We will need to pick up baby supplies - flying in that day and want to cut down on packing.

Also, can you usually check stroller at the gate? How about carrier / car seat? We have never traveled with infant before.

Yes, you can typically check a stroller and car seat at the gate. It will be waiting for you when you get off the plane. If there's an empty seat on the plane, often they will let you use it for the baby (with an FAA approved car seat). If you've checked the car seat at the ticket counter, you won't have that option.
