We are trying to plan a trip to WDW for December. My DD will be 13 months old at the time. We have only been to WDW once, 3 years ago. That time we stayed at the Poly & it was great. I just don't know if we can afford a deluxe again. Travelers will be me, DH, DS(9), DD(1) & my sister(21). I was thinking of renting points but BLT is out of our range. I just wanted to hear how others traveled using disney transportation, what stroller they used(umbrella or rent). Any advice or info would be appreciated. Or point me to any trip reports, I love to read about others vacations. TIA.

Jenn

ps I have been a lurker on these boards since we took a cruise on the Magic, just never posted.

Hi Jenn. I'd take your own stroller because you'll want it around the resort. We took our full blown stroller and it was great because DS could recline and snooze if needed. It'll be a pain on the buses but should be alright. I'd suggest POFQ, we've been there twice and it's great for bus service. The one thing about a 13mo baby is that they'll need at least an afternoon snooze. You may want to consider something that gives them a separate room or else you'll be handcuffed into staying in a room with sleeping baby. We're staying offsite at a pool home in Windsor Hills next trip. The kids can have their own room(s) and I can sit by the pool.

Last trip we hit parks early, had lunch & went back to resort & rested until dinner. My idea for this trip was kinda the same, but with less sit down meals. I considered staying off-site but was concerned about needing to take the baby back to the room & someone wanting to stay at park with older kid. As far as the stroller goes, would you say my Maclaren or peg Perego Venezia?

I'd take the Peg. We have the Uno and it was perfect. I'm thinking that by the time we go next our oldest will be almost three and will love the idea of going for a swim in the pool. If not one of us can head back to the house and the other can stay at the parks. We'll likely have either grandma & grandpa with us or the sister and brother-in-law both likely with vehicles so we'll have some options.
