Traveling to outlet stores with no car

I read somewhere on the DIS (or maybe I just imagined it) a while ago that if you went to downtown disney and walked across the street to some gas station or a hotel you could ride a bus operated by some outlets to their stores.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? Any tips or advice would be great?

i have no idea but I would love to hear if that is possible, I don't want to rent a car for a few hours to go shopping so this would be awesome.

I found something. I wonder which of these hotels is closest to Disney to go get on the shuttle and if you can go on it if you are not staying there. I'm going to email them and ask.

I got this email back from them

I think the closest hotel is the Hilton across from Downtown Disney. You can use the Disney shuttle for free to get to Downtown Disney. You can find the schedule on our website at www.lbvfs.com. Check with the guest services desk at the Hilton for the exact pick up location and to get a voucher for a mall coupon book.

I grabbed a taxi at DD to go to the Prime Outlets. Fare was about $10 each way.
