Traveling from ASMo to MK resorts?

For our first day at ASMo next week we are going to try to check out the holiday decorations at GF, PR, and WL. (Don't have to do CR because we'll be spending a night there at the end of the trip!) We won't be checking into ASMo until late afteroon, so wanted to start our decoration tour around 5:00 pm. Because the parks close early next week, I am wondering if there will be a problem with bus transportation to the MK resorts and back to ASMo, especially if we decide to eat at one of the MK resorts and won't try to return to ASMo until about 9:00 pm. Will we get stuck? Do you think we will have to pay for a taxi home? Thanks!

do it for one the nights that MK is having MVMCP - 7, 9, 11 or 12

and you won't have a problem

if this is not possible - then going back will be slow - you will need to catch the DD from the Poly and then transfer to ASMo.

You could always take the Downtown Disney bus from any resort and transfer to the All-Star bus at the bus stop downtown.

How could I have forgotten about Downtown Disney? I can't believe I did that...thanks for the reminder!

We'll be doing our "decor tour" on December 10, which is not a MVMCP night. We will have to come back and do MVMCP another time, because cheerleading is the reason for our visit this season!

I love the decor tour. We did it on three December trips. Love it especially Grand Floridian. If you are lucky you will visit resorts while singers or handbells or story telling is going on. We loved listening to THE POLAR EXPRESS at Yacht and Beach. Handbells at Grand Floridian and Port Orleans (as it was called at that time). Choirs at Grand Floridan. Very nice. Being from Chicago we loved singing Christmas carols in shorts and t-shirts.

forgot there is another way - epcot closes that night at 9:30pm - so you can go back to the T/T and take the monrail to Epcot and the walk over the All star buses.

I think this transportation will work until 10:30 might be 11:30 - generally an hour to two hours after the park closes.

Did you just stumble upon carolers and bell ringers, or is there someplace where you obtained a schedule of what was happening where?

We just stumbled on them. It was always a great surprise.
