We're headed to WDW in late January from Dayton,Oh. We hope to stop for the night a little north of the Florida border in Georgia. Does anyone have a hotel they would recommend?

Also for I-75 travelers, are there any hazardous stretches, construction and speed traps (not that we ever speed) we should know about?

Thanks!

Watch out for the Georgia State Partol. They love hide along I-75 in Geogia.

Construction areas two watch for. As soon as get into Georgia there are road construstion near Calhon, Rome and Atlanta.

As soon a get into Marritta Georgia the cars speed up. I mean really speed so watch when get into the area. Best advice is go with the flow of tracket or you will get run over. When get to Atlanta it gets worse. Even own the By-pass it's bad. But once fet through Atlanta and the bypass it should be smooth sailing even with the construction. Getting through Atlanta is the hard part.

I drive I-75 all the time when i head down too Atlanta it's a pain to drive in that city. I can't seem help myself i love going two Atlanta malls and Six Flags Over Georgia. I loved the Superman ride. I hate the s-curve you have take get back to Chattanooga.

I hope that helps

Thank you crazelion, it helps a lot. It was to be my turn at the wheel through Georgia, but now I think Mr. Speed Limit DH will drive through Northern Ga.
Thanks again

There's a great book called "Along I75", we use every time we drive. Has excellent info on hotels, etc and tells you where all the most common speed traps are. Definitely worth the investment!

We've never driven to WDW, but we have found Hampton Inns to be very dependable, and they have a pretty good free continental breakfast. There's one in Valdosta, and probably others near 75.

BTW we're from Beavercreek!
