I just checked insurance rates and I can book insurance for my trip ($3900.00 including air) for $129.00 using the Travelex Travelite plan. Is this a good plan? Thanks.

We used that same plan for our Feb cruise. We thankfully didn't need it, but my dh's uncle (who was going with us) slipped on some ice about 2 weeks before the cruise. He had to have surgery on his knee and was in a full cast for 6 weeks. He purchased the same policy. Because it was 2 weeks before, the cruiseline would give 1/2 of his money back and the insurance covered the other 1/2. He said he had his money from the insurance company within 2-3 weeks.

I have read great comments from posters here and on cruise critic about travelex travelite. We have purchased it as well for our upcoming trip.

I just submitted a medical calim to this company last week. I have not heard, but will let you know once I receive either a check or a denial. If it is a check, I'll say good things about the policy. If it is a denial....well, you can guess what MY review will be!! :rotfl2:

I don't know if TravelSafe was an option for you or not. I used them last fall and they were wonderful with expenses during a hurricane cruise.
