I really like taking traveler's check's to the parks. Do so all the time plus it give us cash back for those little things the girls like using cash for.

Each year I struggle with this. Do you think it's reasonable to take our spending limit in traveler's check to the parks each day or also carry a card (debit/credit).

We plan on meals, snacks, and one souvenir (small) per day for each of us.

I just like these because to me they seem faster to replace than our credit or debit card getting lost or stolen.

I like the new Disney Gift Card. It's available at any Disney store, or you can order it online and pick it up at the parks and resorts. It is also re-loadable online- really convenient. As long as you keep the receipt, if the card gets lost, you can have it replaced. We just made a front and back copy of the actual card along with the receipt and kept it in the hotel room.

The other nice thing- no fees to pay for the card. Traveler's checks usually charge a % fee.

The very easiest way to carry money is to charge everything to your room key card (if you are staying onsite). It's great- you only have to carry one card and it is good at virtually every place on Disney property. You can back the card with cash, CC, debit card, Disney Dollars, Traveler's Checks- just make the arrangements at the front desk of your resort.

This time we are staying offsite due to a win a trip to Disney Parks so no room key applicable. Gift card is good, however it's just useable at disney. I need something universal to use offsite as well. The travelers cheques fees are not that great with our credit union. Plus if we do not need them we just exchange them after our trip.
