Travel to Hoop-Dee-Doo HELP!

We are staying at AS Sports and going to be at AK for the day. We will have a car. We are considering leaving AK for the hotel, getting into our car, and driving either to FW and taking their bus to HDDR OR driving to MK and taking the boat directly to HDDR. Any ideas? Has anyone done this? How do you go from a park to FW?? Will we know which bus to take at FW??

parking at FW and taking the bus is horrible IMO....it seemed to take forever to get to the back of FW...go from MK!

We were at AK that day, returned to POFQ, took our car to park at the Fort Wilderness parking and took the orange or purple bus to the Pioneer Hall - the buses within Fort Wilderness are fine and no problem. Just park then go to the bus area - it doesn't say very clearly but you want a "resort" bus, they call them orange, purple, and another color I can't remember - they all wind up at Pioneer Hall area.

What I would do is go to AK by bus.

From AK, take the WL bus. When you get to WL, go to the boat dock and take the boat to FW. Pioneer Hall is a short walk from the FW boat dock.

Coming back, take the FW boat to MK and then transfer to a bus back to AS Sp.
