I have been reading many posts about Super Shuttle and the Disneyland Express. I want to compare the two services to figure out what we should book. We are flying into SNA and staying at the Anaheim Hilton. It is just the two of us, so a cab will be more expensive than either of the above options.

So, I THINK the DE is free. Is that right? How often does it come to the airport? (i.e. Is it on a regular schedule?) What order does it go to the hotels? How many people are on it? (As in, if it is a bus could it take us an hour to get to our stop?)

I THINK SS is $10/pp each direction. I have an entertainment book coupon for $2 off. I know we book this online, so I would imagine the shuttle would be there when we had collected our luggage. How many people ride per vehicle? How long to get to your hotel if you are the LAST stop?

Have I asked enough questions? :lmao: We don't mind being the last stop as long as we aren't going to every hotel in the vicinity. Just trying to figure out which we should plan on.

Thanks for your help.

No, the DE is not free. I can't remember what it costs, though, and have never used it. It runs every 1/2 hour, I think, and you don't need reservations although you can make them if you like.

I generally use SuperShuttle and have never had a problem. I like paying ahead of time (I include the tip in prepayment) and having it reserved, but it isn't necessary. You can usually get your van within a couple of minutes, but you may have to wait up to 15 or so for the van to fill. It usually takes us about 10 to 15 minutes (once it was more like 25 because we had to wait for the van to arrive and it was late). The return has a window of 15 minutes and they want you there at the beginning of the window so you may wait up to 15 minutes.

I use coupon code UYR59 for supershuttle. It gives you $3 off per person each way, so the fare is only $7 each plus tip each way. *Note: it used to let you book 2 people at once and give you the discount for each, but the other day when I booked for 2 I had to do each one separately to get the full discount per person. As one booking, it only gave 1 discount.

ETA: a SS van typically holds 7

Thanks DizME - SS sounds like the way to go. If it only holds 7, it wouldn't take us long to get to our resort, even if we are last. 15 minutes sounds reasonable as well. How far in advance do you need to book? We have PLENTY of time before our trip, but didn't know if there was a set amount of time. Lastly, do you know how long the code will last? Our trip isn't for 4 months, so I didn't know if it would expire.

Thanks again for all your help! :goodvibes

Well, I don't know when it expires, but I used it in Oct. and again in the past week. I usually book a couple of weeks ahead of time. You can always cancel with full refund up until the day you leave, I believe. I saw a really good rate last year for a dedicated van (just your party) but it had disappeared by the time I was ready to book, so there is always that chance. However, with a shared van, you can always figure on getting at least a $2 discount each so if you lost a couple of bucks waiting, eh :goodvibes

Here is a good site to check for coupon codes on supershuttle, assuming the one I gave you disappears: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/supershuttle.com

Have a great time!!
