Travel time from Pop Century to Kona Cafe? Can we make it?!

I just made a 7:45 AM ADR at Kona Cafe. We're staying at Pop Century, how long will it take us to get to the Polynesian via bus? What time should we leave? Is taking the bus to MK, then taking the ferry to Poly our fastest route?

Either way, you should allow yourself about 45 minutes if your going to take the bus to MK and then transfer to the ferry or monorail. I personally would take the monorail over the ferry...I've always felt it to be a bit quicker.

I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts(even odds nowadays) that if you tell your driver you're going to Kona, he'll drop you off there.

You should be able to make it, no problem.

Bus to MK and walk over the monorail - the only issue is if you miss the Pop bus by 1 minute and then sit there for 20+ minutes for the next one... you should be able to make it in 45-ish minutes. Kona is great! Catch the fireworks on the beach at the poly - great view!

When we have to make it to something early like that at a different resort we usually take a taxi. It takes a lot less time and for me the $11 -15 is worth every penny!

Be sure to ask when the 1st bus going to MK is that am. You would need to catch it. I agree a cab is the best bet.

On my last trip, I called the Disney operator from my room to get a name of a cab company, since we had a 7:30 ADR at Boma for breakfast. The woman on the line told us not to book a cab - that if we got on an AK bus and let the driver know we were going for breakfast that he would drop us off at AKL after the AK stop. I would think you should be able to do this as well, with a MK bus, as long as it is not morning EMH that day.
