Travel time ? for staying at off-site resort

We are staying at a resort approx. 8 miles from WDW.

Does anyone know approx. how long we should plan for travel time, parking, then riding the monorail (MK) or any other means of transportation to get into the 4 different parks?

Also, what time do the parking lots open prior to the park opening?

We have only 4 weeks left until we see Mickey!

Something we did last year was to book a PS breakfast at Cyrstal Palace and we were the first car in the lot and took the monorail and were in the park quickly. Then at the rope drop we were first at Buzz and Space Mountain. Road Buzz 4 times and had fastpass for SP. It is pretty quick from Kiss, were were about 5 miles out. 10-15 mins.

What time did you arrive at the parking lot to be one of the first cars there and then get into the park so quickly?

I think we got to the park at about 7:30 for a 8am breakafast that takes about 30 minutes. The park opened at 9am.
