Hi! I am the Maid Of Honor for my sister's wedding in 3 weeks and I'm putting together welcome bags for the hotel guests since most of her guests will be visiting from out of state. I have a lot of items for the bags, but thought it might be nice to include travel size shampoo, toothpaste, coffee, tea packs, and other things guests might forget to bring. I have checked ebay and haven't found any lots large enough for them to all be the same. Does anyone know of a website that sells such things in bulk? Thanks so much for any help you can provide :)

I don't know how the prices compare to getting them at a drugstore, but they have a good selection - Minimus

You might check Wal-Mart or Sam's for the individual packs of tea, coffee, creamer, sugar, and things like that.

If you are going to include wet wipes or shout wipes you may be able to buy them in the regular boxes and break the boxes down to include 1 or 2 in each pack.

Thanks! Most places I have seen them have been between 80 cents and $1 per item. When I will be purchasing a few hundred items, that will really add up so that website looks great.
ETA: Just checked Minimus and they are similar prices to the stores, plus you have to pay for shipping- aw nuts!

I had thought of that too. I figured I could buy a large/bulk pack of tea and coffee and then pull out the individual packs for each bag. Thanks!

We found a lot of individual items at Costco. Not travel size shampoos or tooth paste, but coffee, tea, and snacking food. DH was in charge of the welcome baskets so they were pretty much filled with food and miniature bottles os alcohol

If the guests are already staying a a hotel, maybe you don't need to include things like shampoo and lotion. Those baskets can get expensive!

My sister did baskets with fruit and pastries in them.

Am I the only one who brings my own shampoo, toothpaste and lotion to hotels? Heck, we even bring full-size bars of soap because DH likes them better than the little ones.

You can probably buy some bulk candy bars and such at Sam's club, add some of the little cheese wheels that they have, a mini-bottle of alcohol or two, or 2 full-size bottles of beer or a small bottle of wine.

Once you start wandering the aisles, you'll surely be able to come up with some good ideas.

Go to a motel hotel in your area and ask them if you can buy them from them or if they have a supplier's name for you...

We buy all of ours from a local supplier and the prices are really cheap. Check it out...

I would send you some but I live in Canada and don't think it would be economical from the shipping stand point...

It says right on the front page free shipping on orders over $20.00

I just bought from them and the shipping was free.

No, we always take our own full size things too. I think my sister just wanted to include them in case anyone forgot anything. I will be including breakfast snacks, candy, playing cards, etc... as well. I know most hotels already have the toiletries, though, so that's why I was asking. If we can't find them at a reasonable price, we are going to skip it :)

Thanks for letting me know about the free shipping, I saw that right after I posted

At a few receptions that I've been to, there have been baskets in the ladies room with lotion, hairspray, stain remover, etc. for people to use to freshen up during the reception.

Man! That would've been a good idea! Oh well :) Thanks.

Our Target has bins with a bunch of $1 items like that. Not sure if all Targets have it though
