I posted this question on the travel board, but I know I'd probably get responses more quickly here. I'm heading to my parents' house in an hour with a bunch of info for their March trip to Florida.

This year they are flying, renting a car and renting (probably) a condo for a month. I suggested that they might want to look into travel insurance. Does anyknow anything about travel insurance and what it costs and covers?

Any info would be appreciated!

Hi Barb, there is a web site that I love. www.insuremytrip.com
It lists all of the available insurance companies, the rates and the coverage. I use Travel Insured for my cruises because the price is right and they have good medical evacuation coverage as well as trip cancellation coverage. I think that those are crucial when traveling to the Caribbean. It probably isn't as crucial when traveling in the states. The rate is also based on age. Older adults pay more than younger adults, etc.

Thanks for the link, Dawn. I will check it out.
